Broadcast Bridge showcases Zixi Innovation

Zixi’s Software-Defined Video Platform (SDVP) is a modular solution for managing dynamic and resilient live video delivery workflows. The SDVP consists of a number of primary components that address different areas of the industry. Zixi-as-a-Service (ZaaS) is a complete implementation of the Zixi SDVP integrated with video optimized and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure. With it, users can deploy video routes globally across Zixi’s managed cloud backbone while enjoying potential reductions in operating costs.

Cinedigm adopts Zixi for scaling FAST channels

ZaaS provides Cinedigm with real-time telemetry data, advanced network congestion, error correction management and significant bandwidth efficiency improvements over deployed legacy systems. With well-structured hierarchical entertainment feed data, Cinedigm builds programmatic playout schedules. An electronic programme guide is generated for each of over 20 channels, including defining ad avails within the programme schedule. ZaaS transcode engines create a quality optimised ABR streaming ladder packaged for distribution to the content origin servers and validates stream health and compliance with each partner’s delivery specifications.
