As the CEO of Zixi, Marc Aldrich leads all aspects of the business including leads Zixi’s strategic direction, but also oversees day-to-day execution of Zixi’s strategic plan and sales and go-to-market execution.

Prior to Zixi, Marc was the CEO of ThinkAnalytics, and has a long history in the Media and Entertainment industry after leading the Media & Entertainment Global Industry business for Amazon Web Services (AWS) with a team of deep subject matter experts for M&E Industry workloads that enabled AWS to help customers modernize, innovate, and scale their businesses.

Prior to AWS, Marc led the Americas sales region for Cisco’s Global Service Provider Segment, with responsibility for service provider customers across the Web/Internet, Telco, Cable, Media, and Gaming industries as well as related strategic partnerships and go-to-market strategies. This organization encompassed approximately 1000 employees. He also led the sale of $1B, 3500 employee Cisco Video Software and Solutions business to private equity.

A Cable Pioneer and 10-year member of SCTE, Marc’ professional passions include talent design and early-in-career resource development, inclusion and diversity of the workforce, and enabling customers to leverage technology to drive innovation and a differentiated value.

Uri Avni is a scientist, inventor and pragmatic technologist. As Chief Technology Officer, Uri is responsible for pushing the boundaries of research and development of the Zixi technology as well as the delivery of Zixi products.

Uri brings a wealth of experience in hardware systems and software development to Zixi, which he acquired at the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). As a Captain, Uri served as the lead developer of operative software for complex electronic warfare systems. There, he also researched and implemented electronic warfare algorithms, geographical software infrastructure, and wireless communications infrastructure. In 2002, Uri served as Software Developer for Talent Solutions, a Raanana company. Uri was involved in advancing real-time IP protocol auditing systems and led a team to develop network-enabled surveillance systems as well as a high-performance audio archiving and streaming system.

Uri received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, cum laude, and a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering, summa cum laude, from Tel Aviv University.

Ed Lawton

As Chief Financial Officer, Ed Lawton leads Zixi’s finance, accounting, HR and administration functions.

Ed brings over 20 years of accounting, finance and leadership experience to Zixi. Prior to joining Zixi, he was the SVP and Chief Financial Officer for ProcessUnity, a governance and risk compliance SaaS company. Before ProcessUnity, Ed was Chief Financial Officer of SharpSpring (NASDAQ: SHSP), a SaaS marketing automation technology company, where he led all aspects of finance, accounting and investor relations, and helped dramatically grow the business and triple the company’s valuation. Previously, he was the Senior Director of Finance for Bottomline Technologies (NASDAQ: EPAY), where he led the FP&A team and was involved in 20 acquisitions around the globe.

Ed graduated from Babson College and is a CPA in Massachusetts.

As Chief Commercial Officer at Zixi, Josh leads the commercial and go-to-market strategy, focused on strengthening customer relationships, streamlining sales and revenue operations, partner engagement, product positioning, and expanding both industry and new market reach.

With over 25 years of experience in the Media & Entertainment industry, Josh has a proven track record of building and leading global teams across sales and business development functions, with expertise in direct and indirect sales worldwide. Most recently, he served as SVP of Strategy, Business Development, and Partnerships at ThinkAnalytics, where he developed the go-to-market strategy, launched an AI-powered FAST channel scheduling solution, and managed strategic partnerships, including AWS. As the Global Sales Leader for Media & Entertainment at Amazon Web Services (AWS), Josh led a strategic initiative to drive industry-specific solutions and revenue growth, assembling a global team of experts to collaborate with AWS account teams across the Americas, EMEA, and APJ.

Josh has held senior leadership roles at GrayMeta, Deluxe Entertainment, Wazee Digital (acquired by Veritone), and Digitalsmiths (acquired by TiVo). At GrayMeta, he oversaw a groundbreaking project with Sky News for the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, delivering the world’s first live facial recognition solution in partnership with AWS and Elemental. A recognized thought leader, he has presented at major industry events, including NAB, IBC, AWS M&E Symposiums, and AWS re:Invent, showcasing his ability to deliver innovative content supply chain solutions that address evolving customer needs.

Eric is a leading expert in the digital video space, advising the world’s largest, most complex, and most demanding customers, from media and sports entities to Fortune 1000 corporations. His career spans executive, sales, marketing and business development roles in markets around the globe-including Australia, Asia, South America Europe and the United States. Prior to Zixi, Eric worked for Com Tech, PictureTel, Vela Research, Venaca and Signiant.

US clients: NFL, NASCAR, NHL, ESPN, CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX, PBS, Turner Broadcast (CNN, TBS, TNT, Cartoon Network) Disney, Oxygen, Showtime, HBO, National Geographic, Viacom (MTV, VH-1, Comedy Central), Discovery, Bloomberg, A&E Lifetime, Scripps Networks and Verizon.

International clients: Exxon, P&G, IBM, Shell Oil, Zurich Insurance, British Telecom, Intelsat, and NTT.

Michael Hertigan

Michael is an experienced financial executive with more than 20-years managing corporate finance, accounting, financial planning and analysis, legal and human resources. He works in early-stage, venture-backed, private corporations. To date, he has participated in four strategic acquisitions.

Prior to Zixi, Michael’s experience was as a hands-on entrepreneurial financial professional with companies such as Account4, acquired by Lawson Software; Funk Software, acquired by Juniper Networks; XOsoft, acquired by Computer Associates; Currensee, acquired by OANDA; and BA Insight. His software industry experience includes Software technology, Enterprise Software, and SaaS companies, helping them grow from pre-revenue to $50M+.

Michael holds a Masters in Taxation and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Bentley University.

With over 25 years of experience in the media and technology sectors, Kevin is a seasoned executive specializing in the development and deployment of innovative solutions for leading global media companies, including Comcast, Disney, Paramount, and others. Throughout his career, he has held key leadership roles in high-profile projects, including the international expansion of MTV, HD distribution for Showtime, the commercialization of a major IPTV platform, and the initial development of Disney+.

Kevin brings a wealth of expertise across a wide range of business environments, from early-stage telecommunications start-ups to established media and entertainment giants. His experience spans engineering, product development, product management, and sales support. Known for his strategic vision, analytical acumen, and collaborative approach, Kevin excels at driving successful outcomes in complex, cross-functional settings.

At Zixi, Kevin leads a high-performing team of solution engineers, solution architects, technical account managers, and implementation specialists within Zixi’s renowned Customer Success organization. Under his leadership, the team ensures the delivery of world-class solutions and exceptional service to clients worldwide.

A dedicated triathlete and Ironman World Championship qualifier, Kevin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

A Technology and Engineering Emmy Award winner, Emeka Okoli is a passionate advocate of Zixi’s customers and products as SVP of Strategic Business Development, Emeka plays a key role in driving unique solutions, deployments and business relationships over Zixi’s journey as a leading innovator in the industry. He developed and was integral in driving productization of Zixi-as-a-Service (ZaaS).

Prior to Zixi, Emeka engaged with several charitable organizations and served as CTO and Vice President of Product & Information Systems at WARM2Kids Inc., a charitable foundation where he developed a unique method of broadening technology outreach in inner cities and suburbs across the United States. His model was recognized and achieved significant grants from Microsoft and others. Prior to his charitable work, Emeka facilitated online collaborative services at Polycom as IS Manager and Pre- and Post-Sales Manager at MeetU. Following his tenure early 2000’s at CSC Consulting Index, Emeka co-founded OHC, Inc, a technology advisory group and service provider. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Technology with a master’s degree in management, Information Technology from Northeastern University.

Alan Young

Alan is a technology executive with over 30 years of experience across the telecoms, financial services; and media and entertainment sectors. This includes extensive experience leading multi-functional teams working with global customers and suppliers in businesses ranging from large corporations to start-up ventures. He has developed and introduced new technologies into the business environment many times in his career.

Alan is currently the VP of Strategic Business Development at Zixi, the leader in live IP video delivery and management. In this role he is responsible for identifying new strategic opportunities, assessing the company’s product performance and helping develop its long-term strategic plans for future product lines. Alan has also previously held senior engineering and technology roles at LTN, Encompass, SES, Citibank, Viacom and British Telecom.

Alan holds a Masters in Electronic Systems Engineering from the University of York in the U.K.  He is a Chartered Engineer (C.Eng) and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (F.I.E.T). He is a proven innovator and problem solver as the holder of five patents.

 

Tim Baldwin

Tim Baldwin has more than 20 years in engineering, product, and marketing roles in media and computer hardware technology companies. Prior joining Zixi, Tim developed and managed the integration of Brightcove’s Online Video Platform with both enterprise Content Management Systems and enterprise Content Delivery Networks. Prior to Brightcove, Tim held positions of VP Internet Media Products and Services and VP Product Development and Marketing at Haivision and Kulabyte and played an instrumental role in developing and deploying their live encoding and streaming technologies and services.

At Zixi, Tim leads the product management team and drives the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Zixi’s portfolio of software, Software as a Service, and Infrastructure as a Service solutions.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering from University of Texas at Austin.

As the VP of Product & Industry Marketing at Zixi, Kris leads messaging, packaging, and solutions to empower our customers with reliable, scalable, and secure video solutions for live and broadcast. Prior to Zixi, Kris was the GTM and Solutions lead at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he built the Media and Entertainment (M&E) solution areas which accelerated the cloud journey of thousands of media customers at scale. Prior to AWS, he served at Chief Strategist at Akamai and led Media and Software delivery solutions, which were used to stream the World Cup and Olympics online at scale, powered the first generation of online game consoles, and powered the first generation of connected vehicle updates.

Kris is builder and entrepreneur who has worked backwards from customers to solve problems and create opportunities in multiple industries ranging across Cloud Compute, Software, Telecom, Healthcare, M&E, Games, and Consumer Goods.  He started his career as a builder as an undergrad, where he built the early flight control system user interface for the International Space Station at Draper Labs. He has worked with and built solutions for businesses such as Apple, Tesla, Microsoft, EA, Blizzard, Disney, Sony, Fox, MLB, Qualcomm, Verizon, CVS, Macys, and Amazon.

Kris has served on multiple boards of early-stage businesses and holds patents in network connected second screen media experiences and reconfigurable modular storage systems. Kris holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship from the Babson College, a Bachelor Science in Engineering from Northeastern University, and a Bachelor Science in Business Administration concentration in Marketing from Northeastern University.

Gordon Brooks brings more than 30-years of software and services technology leadership to his role as Executive Chairman of Zixi. He has served as CEO for five different companies, founding, launching or turning around eight companies in total. Two of Gordon’s IPO’s and five private sales created over $13B in value.

Before joining Zixi, Gordon was President of C3 IoT, a big data, IoT and predictive analytics software platform company which provides the capability to design, development, deploy and operate complex large-scale AI applications. As CEO of Symphony Services, a commercial software product development services company, he grew the business from 100 to over 4,000 people, and sold it for $800 million.

As the CEO and Co-Founder of Breakaway Solutions, a Full Service B2B Commerce solution provider, Gordon took the company public with a market cap of over $6B. At Cambridge Technology Partners (CTP), as Co-Founder he grew the company to over $850m in revenues and conducted a successful IPO with a market cap over $5B.

Gordon holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of New Hampshire. He has attended advanced graduate programs at Seton Hall University and Northwestern University.
