We are seeking a dynamic & experienced, highly motivated candidate to be a Zixi Sales Director. This individual will provide strategic support to our high profile MSO/ MVPS broadcast and media technology accounts, as well as our mutual customers who are major broadcasters, content owners, and media service providers. This candidate will be a media industry veteran with effective communication skills and high EQ, a problem solver that help close large business opportunities across functions and drive consensus with various groups and verticals within the internal org and customer facing org. He/She will serve as a trusted advisor to the customer and as a key point of contact between the customer and the various departments within Zixi, to ensure high customer satisfaction and encourage continued long-term relationship and grow Zixi’s revenue in the named accounts.

The role reports to the CRO.

Responsibilities of the Sales Director, MSO include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for leads and opportunities creation and demand
  • Develop a sales plan and strategy, which includes regional and industry-specific opportunity assessment, approach for sales resource investment, customer and prospect prioritization, and operational cadence
  • Consistently deliver against productivity and revenue goals
  • Understand and continuously learn Cloud and Enterprise Transformation industry trends and technologies in the broadcast video & media space, specifically for MSO and Cable operators
  • Ability to get hands-on – delivering compelling vision presentations on IP transformation and articulating product concepts to business and technical audiences
  • Sustain rigorous and transparent pipeline management and forecasting across the team
  • Align cross-functionally across marketing, solutions engineering, and channels
  • Communicate and collaborate with sales leadership across all Zixi groups to ensure clear communication, alignment, and cooperation across the sales teams
  • Articulating Zixi value proposition to C-Level executives and corporate decision makers
  • Negotiations to guarantee customer satisfaction and adoption of Zixi technology
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills to handle complex customer scenarios

Basic Qualifications:

  • Enterprise sales experience in cloud, SaaS, carrier, security, Broadcast media, video, networking or related
  • At least 10+ years direct Sales experience
  • Focused appoached, clear linear thinker
  • Track record of exceeding quota
  • Proven experience in working with best-in-class sales teams
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills to handle complex customer scenarios
  • Ability to execute independently, while collaborating with functional teams globally
  • Proactive, confident, assertive and entrepreneurial self-starter
  • Excellent multi-tasker
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s degree in technology or business related field
  • Effective Communicator, High EQ
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint), Salesforce, etc.

  • Strong domain knowledge of Media and Broadcast industry, experience with North American MSOs
  • Demonstrated sales and general account management values – ranging from a strong sense of ethics, sales performance, cross-functional collaboration
  • Proven track record of growing a business and consistently quota
  • Domain expertise in Broadcast, IP networks with considerable Linux, Windows and Networking hands-on experience would be value add
  • Good knowledge of video IP delivery, network infrastructure, Internet, CDN, mobile computing, cloud services, security and virtualization
  • Strong knowledge of live video workflows for media and broadcast companies including live linear channel and live event contributions and OTT delivery using cloud-based services for content ingest, transcoding, repackaging and delivery
  • Experience with cloud software deployments and platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
    Compensation package will be commensurate with experience
