NVIDIA GPU Transcoding Support
ZEN Master now allows you to select Amazon EC2 G3 instances, which provide access to NVIDIA Tesla M60 GPUs for hardware accelerated transcoding and can be used in conjunction with Broadcaster v12.3.32721 or later. The AWS g3.4xlarge reserved instance cost, for example, for a 24/7 channel with 8 typical output renditions will be about 40% of the cost of using the software transcoder on a c5.9xlarge instance. On demand pricing for g3.4xlarge instances is about 37% of the cost of on demand c5.9xlarge instances based on 10 channels with 8 typical output renditions running on a g3.4xlarge instance and 5 channels each running on two c5.9xlarge instances.
